"Chalk It Up is a free, family-friendly creative event. San Antonio's premier artists transform city sidewalks into colorful works of art. We need your help to complete a super-sized street mural. And don't miss the Kidzone, a space where imaginations soar! This annual community
event is an opportunity for locals and tourists alike to appreciate and participate in our city's creative resources."

AS A SHOWCASE ARTIST I WILL CREATE AN ORIGIONAL WORK WITH CHALK ON A SIDEWALK CANVAS THAT IS 15' X 20' ON HOUSTON STREET BETWEEN SOLEDAD AND SOUTH PRESA.

Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts present an art exhibit in celebration of Women’s History Month of fourteen contemporary female artist living and working in San Antonio, Laredo and Corpus Christi Texas.

The Great Northwest Public Library San Antonio in collaboration with the Museo Alameda National Center for Latino Arts & Culture, an Affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution & Partner of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts present an art exhibit in celebration of Women’s History Month of fourteen contemporary female artist living and working in San Antonio, Laredo and Corpus Christi Texas. The Artists use female hand/hands as a motif for artwork created specifically for the exhibit, the work explores the various implications and sentiments that surround this powerful image. The unconventional exhibit space will serve as a forum for the Artists work and entail community involvement.

Additional programming will include a film series that will take place at the Great Northwest Public Library on March 17 at 2:00pm. Select Art: 21 episodes from three seasons related to women in contemporary Art exploring longing, loss, hope, place and memory, as well as a video interview conducted by Hans Obrist of Felix Gonzalez-Torres whose piece Untitled (For Jeff) will be displayed around San Antonio inaugurating the opening of the Museo Alameda. These events are free and open to the public.

Young Latino Artists, now in its 11th year, stands as one of the most important exhibitions through which emerging Latino/artists display their work in the state of Texas. The Islander Art Gallery is open Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

youth gone wild: annual exhibit challenges societal stereotypes on new generation - Mexic-Arte Museum proudly presents YLA 11: The Annual Young Latino Art Exhibition. The annual exhibition showcases artists under thirty-five years of age. The exhibition is sponsored by Azteca America and Austin-American Statesman.

YLA 11 will include artwork from Roberto Bellini Monteiro (Brazil), Catherine Berlanga (Corpus Christi), Kimberly Garza Campbell (San Antonio), Eric Daniel Chavera (Corpus Christi), Michael García (Austin), Hector Hernandez (Austin), Joe Peña (Corpus Christi), Luz María Sánchez (San Antonio), Angel Quesada (Austin), Cesar Alexander Villareal (Austin), Jaime Castillo (Austin) and Grace Zuniga (Corpus Christi).
